New Iowa Chiropractic Assistant Training Rules
The Iowa Board of Chiropractic (IBC) has implemented a new rule requiring training for DC office staff who perform physiotherapy. This went into effect on July 1, 2009.  According to the rules there are two levels of training required - active physiotherapy and passive physiotherapy.  IBC is requiring DC office staff who perform active/passive physiotherapy to complete 24 hours of education, 12 of which are to be clinical experience under the DC's supervision.  (If a staff member only performs active, or only performs passive, that number is cut in half.)  Click
here for a list of reminders as you select your CA physiotherapy training program (according to the rules).
