Treatment of Male and Female Fertility Using Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

In the West, women and men are choosing to have babies much later in life. For those who have decided to have children later in life, the combination of reproductive aging and the undesirable side effects of our modern world conveniences can have a profound impact on fertility. This course will focus on looking at both male and female normal physiology and how to support a couple using Traditional Chinese medicine (diet, lifestyle, herbs and acupuncture) to successfully achieve a pregnancy whether undergoing a natural cycle or supporting a medically assisted cycle. Common IVF medications and lab tests will be reviewed to better understand the medical work up done by a patient’s reproductive endocrinologist.
